Hello everyone
In my opinion the use of WaPOR portal (instead of using drones) among the available solutions to monitor in real time the irrigated fields and choose an ideal time to irrigate the crops, as the farmer just needs to point a smartphone and download an application if available, using WaPOR data such as ET, Humidity, Temperate, evaporation and also rainfall on the study area.

I also agree that WaPOR is cheap and interesting option, since some farmers may not be able to afford buying drones for real time monitoring. Although, WaPOR is near real time monitoring, it could give quite acceptable monitoring for the water performance.
